The Great Horses for Health UK Relay 2021

The Relay will be travelling around the UK during the summer from 2nd May to 2nd October 2021, with two weeks allocated to each region. When you register, you’ll be asked which county you expect to participate in, and you’ll be assigned a region and given your dates. During your 2 weeks, you can ride, carriage drive, lead in-hand or long-rein, cycle or walk as a pedestrian. You can register in any of these categories. There is no set route, you choose where you go, how long you and your horse take to complete your route and how much you challenge yourself! You may join other people and participate together (depending on COVID guidelines in your region), or you may participate alone – it is your decision.

Every two weeks the Relay will move to the next region to and there will be a handover point, usually on a Saturday afternoon. Depending on the Covid restrictions, we hope to make an event of these, we are planning the events now so more details will follow.

Once your participation is complete, please log-in and record the details, upload a photo and any comments. We will then show your participation on our map.

Your registration fee covers the cost of your registration pack however we would like you to also raise funds for our selected charities. Please share our SponsorMe page with all your family and friends.

We have also set up a number of different challenges for you to participate in, some will help support your fundraising, others are about you and your horse, or promote road safety and local equestrian trades. Please have a look on the “Get Involved” page for some inspiration.

We hope you have lots of fun being part of this special event to celebrate our horses.
